The chapter begins with a quote by P. T. Forsyth, “The true sacrament is holy personality.” I take that to mean whenever we witness God’s presence in our everyday experiences, we have encountered true sacrament. God who is Spirit, reveals Himself to us through the physical experience. A couple of examples would be He appeared to us through His Son who was born into this world and we experience His grace through the elements of bread and wine. These are popular acknowledgments of His Presence with us, but we all have experienced the supernatural in our lives. We marvel at the wonder of these encounters and desire more awareness of Him in our lives. But in what ways, can sacramental experience be found?
