Christian Meditation Press is the publishing ministry of the Christian Meditation Center. We partner with authors to develop and publish Christ-centered works that encourage spiritual growth, deepen relationship with God, and help transform lives.

Where Faith and the Written Word Meet

We believe words can minister.

A book can encourage someone who feels alone, open a reader’s heart to God, offer wisdom for the spiritual journey, teach Scripture, share a testimony of transformation, or introduce someone to a deeper life of prayer.

Christian Meditation Press was created to help bring those kinds of words into the world.

As a publishing ministry of the Christian Meditation Center, we combine a commitment to Christ-centered spiritual formation with thoughtful editing, professional publishing standards, and a personal relationship with our authors.

We are currently developing our inaugural publications and welcoming conversations with prospective authors whose work aligns with our mission.

Books addressing the joys, struggles, relationships, questions, and everyday practices of living faithfully with Christ.

Spiritually nourishing writings designed to accompany readers through daily prayer, reflection, and encounters with God.

Testimony & Transformation

Stories of faith, healing, recovery, grace, perseverance, and the ways God transforms lives.

We also welcome consideration of retreat resources, small-group materials, ministry resources, and other works consistent with the mission of Christian Meditation Press.

A Partnership With Our Authors

Your book matters. So does the journey of bringing it to life.

Christian Meditation Press uses a partnership publishing model.

We believe publishing works best when the author and publisher share a commitment to the message, the reader, and the quality of the finished work.

Every manuscript we consider is evaluated for its alignment with our mission, spiritual and editorial quality, intended audience, and readiness for publication.

When a work is accepted, we develop an individualized publishing plan with the author. Depending upon the project, production expenses may be funded by Christian Meditation Press, shared between the Press and the author, or contributed by the author.

An author’s financial participation does not determine whether a manuscript is accepted. Every book published by Christian Meditation Press must meet the same Christ-centered, editorial, and professional publishing standards regardless of who contributes toward production costs.

Our goal is not simply to help authors produce books.

Our goal is to help authors produce books worth sharing.

Your Publishing Journey

Every book is different, but our publishing process generally follows this path:

1. Share Your Work

Tell us about yourself, your manuscript, your intended readers, and what you hope your book will accomplish.

2. Manuscript Review

Our Publishing Director reviews your work for alignment with the mission of Christian Meditation Press, editorial quality, audience, and publishing potential.

3. Acceptance & Publishing Plan

If we believe Christian Meditation Press is a good home for your work, we will develop a publishing plan outlining the editorial process, anticipated expenses, responsibilities, royalties, and next steps.

4. Editing & Development

We work collaboratively with you to strengthen your manuscript while honoring your voice and the heart of your message.

5. Design & Production

Your manuscript moves through proofreading, interior formatting, cover design, publishing metadata, and preparation for publication.

6. Publication & Distribution

Your finished book is prepared for publication and made available through the distribution channels selected for your project.

7. Launch & Promotion

Christian Meditation Press and the author work together to introduce the book to its intended readers through an individualized launch and promotional plan.

Teresa Yerkes

Publisher

Teresa Yerkes is the founder of the Christian Meditation Center and Publisher of Christian Meditation Press. She provides the overall vision, mission alignment, and organizational oversight for the Press.

Her desire is to help Christian writers bring meaningful, spiritually enriching works into the world while ensuring that Christian Meditation Press remains rooted in its Christ-centered mission.

Leah Chrest

Publishing Director

Leah Chrest leads the day-to-day work of Christian Meditation Press and works personally with authors throughout the publishing journey.

From the initial manuscript review through editing, development, production, and preparation for publication, Leah helps guide each project while maintaining the editorial and publishing standards of Christian Meditation Press.

Our intentionally personal approach means authors are not simply submitting a manuscript into a system. They are entering into a publishing relationship.
