In this heart-centered episode of Inner Peace, Better Health , Leah Chrest—author, preacher, Christian meditation teacher, and devoted mother—shares how grief, surrender, and faith reshaped her life. Leah opens up about her personal journey through trauma, her husband’s alcoholism, and his eventual passing, and how meditation helped her release control and anchor deeply in God’s presence. She explains how Christian meditation is about listening as much as praying, and how surrendering outcomes allows miracles to unfold. For anyone facing loss, overwhelm, or doubt, this conversation offers powerful insights on leaning into divine guidance and trusting that God’s plans always surpass our own. About the Guest: Leah Chrest is the author of It’s Okay to Be Okay , a book that explores grief as a transformative teacher. She integrates her experiences as a wife, mother, math teacher, and spiritual guide into her teachings on Christian meditation and surrender. Through her writing, speaking, and personal journey, Leah offers a profound message of hope, healing, and the peace that comes from letting go. Key Takeaways: Surrender is not weakness but a path to peace and alignment with God’s will. Christian meditation allows space to listen, not just speak, deepening the relationship with God. Grief can become a profound teacher when viewed as part of God’s greater plan. Letting go of control opens doors to unexpected miracles and personal growth. Even small acts of surrender, like releasing expectations, can foster deeper trust in divine timing. Part 1: Understanding Christ’s Unconditional Love The first part focuses on defining agape love, the highest form of love, characterized by its selflessness, sacrifice, and unconditional nature. It examines how Jesus demonstrated this love through His life, teachings, and ultimate sacrifice on the cross. The goal is to deepen our understanding of Christ’s love, which is inclusive, compassionate, and transformative, challenging us to reflect on how we perceive and practice love in our own lives.

Teresa Yerkes’ Message on Paul’s Labor of Love to Spread the Good News of Jesus Christ Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 11:22-28 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? Are they Abraham’s descendants? Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.
