SUMMARY:One on One Coaching
DESCRIPTION:One-on-One Christian Coaching\nSpiritual Direction & Christian Counseling\nSometimes the most meaningful spiritual growth happens in the presence of a trusted companion. \nOur One-on-One Christian Coaching sessions offer a quiet\, grace-filled space to explore your spiritual life\, deepen your relationship with God\, and gently work through the places where healing or clarity may be needed. \nYou will meet with Teresa Yerkes\, founder of the Christian Meditation Center\, a Christian meditation teacher\, certified lay counselor\, and spiritual companion who has spent nearly four decades walking with others on their spiritual journey. \nTogether\, you will create space to listen for God’s presence in your life. \n\nIn these sessions you may discover\n• A compassionate listener who holds space for your story• Insightful questions that help bring deeper awareness• Guidance in prayer\, Christian meditation\, and spiritual practices• Support in navigating life transitions\, grief\, relationships\, and spiritual growth• Encouragement as you discern God’s movement in your life \nThis is not therapy and not a place for quick answers. Instead\, it is a sacred conversation where we slow down\, listen deeply\, and allow the Spirit of God to gently lead the way. \n\nA Gift-Based Offering\nThere is no set fee for these sessions. \nDonations to the Christian Meditation Center are gratefully welcomed and help support our ministry and programs. \n\nA Personal Note from Teresa\nFor many years\, people have come to me seeking guidance in their spiritual lives. Some are longing for a deeper relationship with God. Others are navigating grief\, difficult decisions\, or seasons of spiritual dryness. \nWhat I have learned over time is that people rarely need someone to give them answers. What they often need most is a sacred space to slow down\, be heard\, and listen for God’s presence in their lives. \nIn these conversations\, we gently explore what God may already be doing in your heart. Often the Holy Spirit is quietly guiding us\, inviting healing\, freedom\, and deeper love. \nIt is a privilege for me to walk alongside others in this way. I have witnessed how God meets people in powerful and unexpected ways when we simply make room for Him. \nIf you feel even the smallest invitation to explore your spiritual life more deeply\, I would be honored to walk with you for a season. \n— Teresa YerkesFounder\, Christian Meditation Center \n\nIs One-on-One Christian Coaching Right for You?\nYou may feel drawn to this type of conversation if you are: \n• Longing for a deeper relationship with God• Feeling spiritually stuck or unsure of your next step• Seeking clarity during a life transition or important decision• Carrying grief\, pain\, or questions you would like to bring into prayer• Wanting to grow in Christian meditation or contemplative prayer• Desiring a trusted spiritual companion to walk alongside you for a season• Feeling a quiet inner nudge that God may be inviting you to something deeper \nYou do not need to have everything figured out before you come. \nOften the journey simply begins with a willingness to pause\, listen\, and open your heart to God’s presence. \n\nFrequently Asked Questions\nWhat is the difference between spiritual direction and counseling?\nSpiritual direction focuses on helping you become more aware of God’s presence and movement in your life. While counseling often works to address specific emotional or psychological challenges\, spiritual direction creates space to notice how God may be speaking\, guiding\, healing\, and transforming you through your experiences. \nIn our sessions\, we listen together for the gentle work of the Holy Spirit. \nWhat kinds of things can I bring to a session?\nPeople come with many different questions and experiences\, such as: \n• Feeling distant from God and longing for deeper connection• Navigating a life transition\, grief\, or loss• Discernment about an important decision• Questions about prayer\, faith\, or spiritual practices• Desire to deepen Christian meditation or contemplative prayer• Healing from past experiences• Simply wanting to grow closer to God \nYou are welcome to bring whatever is on your heart. \nDo I need to be experienced in prayer or meditation?\nNot at all. Some people who come have been walking with God for many years\, while others are just beginning their spiritual journey. Wherever you are on the path\, you are welcome here. \nHow often do we meet?\nMany people begin with one session each month\, though the rhythm can be adjusted depending on what feels most supportive for you. \nIs there a fee?\nThere is no set fee. Donations to the Christian Meditation Center are welcomed in gratitude and help support our ministry and programs. \n\nBegin Your Journey\nIf you feel drawn to explore your spiritual life more deeply\, we would be honored to walk with you. \nRegister below to schedule your first conversation with Teresa. \nThere is no set fee. Donations are welcomed in gratitude. \nYou do not need to know exactly what you want to say or where the journey will lead. \nSometimes the first step is simply showing up and allowing God to meet you there. \nYour soul will thank you. \nEvent Registration Form \n\n \n\n\n\n Your name\n \n \n Your email\n \n \n Telephone\n \n \n Event Name\n \n \n\n\n Δ

SUMMARY:Christian Meditation Training
DESCRIPTION:Christian Meditation Training\nDiscover the Peace of Resting in God’s Presence\nDate: April 13\, 2026Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.Location: Christian Meditation Center \nIs this you?\n• Do you struggle with distractions during prayer?• Do you long for greater peace and calm in your life?• Are you curious about the historic Christian practice of meditation? \nIf so\, this training may be exactly what you’ve been looking for. \nMany Christians know how to pray\, but few have learned how to be still long enough to listen. \nChristian meditation is the practice of resting in the presence of God—quieting the mind\, opening the heart\, and allowing God to do His work within us. \nIn this 90-minute seminar\, you will learn how meditation can deepen your relationship with God while bringing greater spiritual awareness\, emotional balance\, and interior peace into your daily life. \n\nTeresa’s Story\nFor many years I loved God and was committed to my Christian faith\, yet I still found myself struggling with addiction. It often felt like a form of bondage—living without the freedom to choose not to compromise my own values. \nAround the year 2000\, God began inviting me into a deeper relationship with Him. Instead of striving harder\, I sensed Him calling me simply to rest in His presence and allow Him to do His work within me. \nI first encountered Christian meditation through the writings of the saints. Teresa of Avila introduced me to the practice\, and later the teachings of Thomas Keating helped deepen my understanding. As I continued exploring other Christian authors who taught this form of prayer\, I began practicing meditation myself. \nOver time\, I experienced a growing interior calm\, greater compassion for others\, and eventually the self-control I had long prayed for. \nChristian meditation did not just change my prayer life—it transformed my life. \nWhat began as a personal journey eventually became a calling. On February 22\, 2012\, God led me to establish the Christian Meditation Center so that others could discover the peace\, healing\, and freedom that come from resting in the presence of God. \n\nWhat Makes Christian Meditation Different?\nChristian meditation is not about emptying the mind or detaching from God. Instead\, it is about quieting our thoughts so we can become more aware of God’s presence within us. \nThis practice has deep roots in the Christian tradition and has been practiced by many of the Church’s spiritual teachers\, including: \n• Jesus and the early desert fathers• St. Augustine• St. Teresa of Avila• St. John of the Cross• Julian of Norwich• Thomas Merton• Thomas Keating \nChristian meditation complements prayer rather than replacing it. \nPrayer often begins the conversation with God.Meditation invites us to listen. \nIn the stillness\, we learn to trust God’s presence\, rest in His love\, and allow His Spirit to shape our lives from within. \n\nWhat You Will Learn\nDuring this training we will explore: \n• The biblical foundation for meditation and stillness• The difference between thinking about God and resting in God• Discursive meditation and non-discursive meditation• How meditation prepares the heart for contemplative prayer• What you may experience during meditation and how to respond• Practical steps for establishing a daily meditation practice \nParticipants will also experience a guided Christian meditation session and receive practical tools to continue the practice at home. \n\nWhat Participants Often Experience\nWhile every person’s spiritual journey is unique\, many who begin practicing Christian meditation notice meaningful changes over time. \nAs the mind becomes quieter and the heart more attentive to God’s presence\, people often experience: \n• A deeper sense of peace and interior calm• Greater patience and compassion toward others• Freedom from anxious or repetitive thoughts• Increased awareness of God’s presence throughout the day• Greater emotional balance and clarity• A deeper trust in God and His guidance \nOften the fruit of meditation appears not during the time of prayer itself\, but later—in the way we respond to life\, relate to others\, and experience God’s peace. \n\nWho This Training Is For\nThis training is ideal for anyone who desires to deepen their relationship with God\, especially those who: \n• Feel spiritually dry or distracted in prayer• Long for greater peace and interior stillness• Are curious about historic Christian contemplative practices• Want to develop a consistent spiritual practice• Are seeking healing\, clarity\, or emotional balance \nNo prior experience is necessary. \n\nCost\nTraining Fee: $50 \nIf you have previously attended one of our Christian Meditation Trainings\, you are welcome to attend again free of charge. \nPersonal one-on-one training: $75Available by appointment. \n\nRegister and Payment\n  \nEvent Registration Form \n\n\n \n\n\n\n Your name\n \n \n Your email\n \n \n Telephone\n \n \n Event Name\n \n \n\n\n Δ\n \n\n\n\nPlease select a payment method.
