This is not about restriction\, but about creating space—space to notice\, listen\, and receive what God is already offering. \nWe understand that occasional check-ins may be necessary\, and we encourage mindful\, intentional use if needed. \nMeet Your Leaders \nTeresa Yerkes is the Founder of the Christian Meditation Center\, has been a devoted Christian since 1983 and has practiced Christian meditation since 2000. She is the author of five books. Teresa teaches and leads Christian meditation training and sessions. She is a public speaker who facilitates book clubs and leads retreats. \nShe is married to her husband\, Bill\, and is a mother to three children and a grandmother to six grandchildren. She loves their two yellow labs\, Lucy and Peaches\, and their cat\, Gracie. Her favorite pastime is spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys reading and taking walks with her husband and their dogs. \nVicki Simek is a teacher\, student\, writer\, editor and dog whisperer. Divine Parallels is her first published piece of work.  She co-facilitates a study group for A Course in Miracles and has posted the daily lessons for the past decade. In addition\, Vicki leads two meditation sessions weekly and serves as treasurer for the Christian Meditation Center. \nVicki has spent her entire career in education\, first in higher education and later in the public schools of Baltimore County. She has been married to her husband C.J for 32 years and has two adult children\, Marlowe and Ian. She whispers to her yellow lab\, Libby\, daily.  She loves to read\, write\, and cook for her family and friends. \nAbout Our Accommodations \nThe retreat is set on a beautiful 63-acre property in Greeley\, Pennsylvania\, with a peaceful stream that flows along the back of the retreat house. Her workshops\, retreats\, and seminars provide a hands-on\, creative prayer experience that intertwines art and spirituality. \nInspired by her study of the Christian tradition during the Masters of Holistic Spirituality Program at Chestnut Hill College\, she developed “Prayer Paths\,” a Journey Through the History of Christian Spirituality featuring twenty handmade Sacred Vessels. \nShe studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and earned a BS in Art Education from Moore College of Art. Monica received her training as a Spiritual Director from the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. As a member of the CMC for several years\, she offers gentle guidance in her CMC weekly meditation sessions. \n  \nTeresa Yerkes\, founder of the Christian Meditation Center\, has been a devoted Christian since 1983 and has practiced Christian meditation since 2000.
